How does the compensation work?

How much is my base compensation?

  • Your base salary will range from $45,000 to $80,000, determined by your level of experience and your state of residence.
  • For experieced surrogates, the base compensation starts from $60000 and it comes up to $80,000 on a case by case basis.
When can i get the base compensation

  • Paid in 10 equal installments, starting on the 1st biz day of the month upon pregnancy heart beat confirmation and every month afterwards. Any balance remaining after birth will be paid within 14 days after delivery date.
what allowances there will be

  • Monthly Expenses Allowance: $300/monthly. This allowance will start on the 1st biz day of the month following surrogacy contract execution by all parties and ends two months after birth or upon surrogacy contract termination.
  • Embryo Transfer and Injection Allowance: $200 upon start of injectable medications and $800 after completion of the Embryo Transfer.
  • Maternity Clothing Allowance: $800 for single, $1200 for Twins. One time allowance. Paid at 12 weeks of pregnancy.
  • Cycle Cancellation Allowance: $500. Upon the cycle cancellation after the start of cycle injections.
  • Mock Cycle Allowance: $350. Compensation for pain, suffering, and inconvenience after  each mock cycle. (ERA is considered as a mock cycle)
  • Invasive Procedure Allowance: $800. For each amniocentesis (per sac insertion), CVS, therapeutic abortion, selective reduction, cerclage, ectopic pregnancy, D&C or D&E (after miscarriage) and any other surrogacy related invasive in utero procedure;
  • C-Section Allowance: $5000. Compensation for pain, suffering and inconvenience.
Do I get the above allowances every month?

  • All other allowances are paid per occurrence.
what can be reimbursed?

  • Travel Expenses: Out of pocket expenses (such as air flights, hotel, carrental, gas, parking) incurred for medical appointments, screenings, and procedures related to the surrogacy journey.
  • Lost Wages:Reimbursement for any lost wages or income due to time taken off work for medical appointments, procedures, or recovery periods associated with the surrogacy process.
  • Childcare Expenses: If childcare is needed for your own children during medical appointments or procedures, you are eligible for reimbursement of childcare expenses.
  • Counseling Expenses: Legal counseling for reviewing the contract and pre-birth order are covered by the intended parents.
  • Miscellaneous Expenses: Other miscellaneous expenses directly related to the surrogacy journey, such as house keeping, over-the-counter medications
when do i get reimbursed for out-of-pocket expenses?

  • Most of reimbursable items will be reimbursed after their occurrence. You need to submit a request through the portal to get reimbursed.
  • Some larger expenses (such as air flight and hotel) will be paid directly by us when arranging them.
what other benefits are included in the package?

  • Sign-on bonus & Matching bonus: $100 upon clinic approval AND matchmeeting with IPs and $300 upon medical clearance.
  • Retreat Wellness: $500. A retreat wellness for family meal upon 32 weeks of gestation
  • Loss of Reproductive Capacity: $5000 for Loss of organs ( fallopian tube(s) and/or ovary(ies)) or partial hysterectomy, $10000 for complete hysterectomy
  • Medical Insurance Bonus: In the case that you a valid (surrogacy friendly) policy in place, you have the option for an additional $2500 bonus.
  • Life Insurance Coverage: $350,000 benefit covered by the intended parents.
  • Multi-pregnancy: If applicable, additional $8,000 for each additional pregnancy, paid in 6 installments starting from the 17th week of pregnancy.
